Andre Gallant Photography

I’ve also been rereading Andre Gallant’s books (andregallant.com).   HIs creativity is infectious.  In this books, he shares his journey as a travel photographer and, also,  his ideas on how to process images.  The processing is  not improving the images simply to be a better rendition of what they are but what they could be.  I have just started playing around with some of his suggestions.  This is my first attempt.  The first image is as shot, the second with one of Andre’s techniques.  Clearly I have a ways to go…

In going over everything again today.  I left out a step.  This is the newest version…

Iceland – and fun with different processing methods.

He recently posted about 7 of a former trip to Italy and in the last week a couple of early morning shots. Said he got up at 4:30 today to get the shot.. still frost on the ground!

I like your post processing. It’s amazing to realize that we can change the mood of the images when we post process. Nice job!
