• BASEL

We arrived in Basel in time for a walk along the Rhine River and a short walk around the town.  I wondered how long this river bank has attracted walkers...

So many wonderful details to photograph.  The walls looked ancient...

  • Then a walk through the town to see Basel Minster.  Originally built as a Catholic Church it is now Reformed Protestant.  The original building constructed in the 11 century was destroyed by fire in the fourteenth century.  The current church build of red sandstone was completed at the beginning of the 16th century.
