My friend Deb and I have been attempting a World War II trip of Poland for about three years…in August 2019 we actually did it.

Deb and I met at O’Hare and boarded a flight to Frankfurt, with a connecting flight to Krakow. The tour would start in Krakow, in the south, and end in Gdansk, in the north.

Deb and I perused the Frankfurt airport and I got lost in the reflections on the floor, trying to find one that would depict I was in an airport without actually showing an airport sign. This was probably my best attempt.
