More predawn…

What amazed Hugh and me as we walked through the market was that the stalls were covered with black plastic – that was the sole “security” around all the goods and clearly that was to protect from the weather.  When I asked about walking around Seoul in the morning our guide assured us that Korean’s have a respect from property and ownership.  She had once forgotten her cell phone in a bar for 5 hours and came back and it hadn’t moved.

Strange things attract my camera lens.
Not everything here is in both Korean and English… but this sign made me wish the stall was open. The dumplings here are sooooo good. Yesterday they were on our breakfast buffet. I had been over-indulging and feeling very “western”. That was until I saw a Korean lady fill a dinner size plate with dumplings, now those may have been for a table of people, I won’t know. But somehow this made me feel better about the 4 I had taken.

Isn’t it amazing how much more respectful other cultures are of things that belong to others? The dumpling story made me laugh as I remembered the breakfast we had in Holland.
